Overview

These instructions provide a step-by-step guide for safely and effectively using High-Grade Glycolic Acid Gel (XanthRemover) for at-home chemical exfoliation. When used correctly, this product offers exfoliation results that are comparable to treatments available in professional cosmetic clinics. This is because this is the exact type of product used in cosmetic clinics.

Proper exfoliation plays a key role in skin renewal, helping improve texture and appearance. These instructions will help you apply the product safely, minimize risks, and understand what to expect during the peeling process.

Safety Warning

Incorrect use or poor aftercare can result in:

  • Temporary swelling, discomfort, or pain

  • Scarring

  • Changes in skin pigmentation (hypo- or hyperpigmentation)

  • Infection and delayed healing

Always perform a patch test before full application.

Mandatory Patch Test (Days 1–11)

Day 1

  • Apply a small amount (0.5 cm²) under the chin and on the forearm.

  • Leave on for up to 3 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.

  • Monitor for 24 hours. If redness or irritation persists, do not proceed.

Day 2

  • Test a different small area for 10 minutes.

Day 3

  • Test another new area for 15 minutes.

Day 5

  • Apply to a target area for 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

Day 6

  • Apply to a different area for 20 minutes.

  • Monitor the areas you have performed the patch tests for the next two days.

Day 9

  • If minimal peeling has occurred, apply a slightly larger amount for up to 40 minutes.

Day 11

  • If no negative reactions occurred, proceed with application based on the results observed.

Application Guidelines

  1. Wash hands and cleanse the skin.

  2. Use a degreasing method if needed (see below).

  3. Apply a thin, even layer of the gel to the desired area.

  4. Leave on according to your patch test tolerance.

  5. Wipe off with a cotton pad and rinse thoroughly with tap water.

  6. Peeling typically begins within 1–2 days. Do not pick the scabs or peel manually.

Frequency of Use

  • Wait at least 2 weeks between applications.

  • Reapply only after the skin has completely healed.

  • Avoid makeup until the peeling process is finished.

Post-Treatment Care

  • Expect 7–10 days of peeling.

  • Avoid exercise or sweating during this time.

  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily for at least 3 months after the last application.

  • Avoid direct sunlight until healing is complete.

Enhancing Results (Advanced Users Only)

Only attempt if you’ve previously used the product without adverse effects.

Increase Application Time:
Longer exposure = deeper exfoliation. Monitor closely.

Degreasing (Basic):
Wipe clean skin with vinegar, then let dry before applying gel.

Degreasing (Advanced):
Use acetone on a cotton pad to clean the area before application.
⚠️ This method significantly increases intensity — use with caution.

Final Tips

  • The longer the gel remains on (within safe limits), the fewer applications you may need.

  • Some users report results in just 3–4 sessions when used with extended timing.

  • Always prioritize safety over speed. Follow each step carefully.
