1. Will the patch test cause scarring or skin damage?

The patch test is designed to confirm skin compatibility and sensitivity. When applied correctly (as a small amount for a limited time), it should not cause permanent scarring or damage. You may notice mild temporary redness or irritation at the test site, which typically resolves during the healing process. Avoid prolonged application or rubbing, and follow the removal instructions carefully.

2. Is it essential to do the test under the chin or forearm, or can we test on the opposite hip?

While we recommend the inner forearm or under the chin or behind ear because of their sensitivity and visibility for reaction monitoring— especially since that area has similar skin characteristics to the treatment site. Just ensure it is clean, dry, and free of cuts

Is it okay to swim or do light exercise during the patch test and treatment process?

Yes, there should be no problem with light exercise or swimming during the patch test and healing process, provided that the treated area is not irritated or exposed to excessive friction or prolonged submersion in water. It is always advisable to ensure the area remains clean and dry afterward, and to monitor for any signs of unusual sensitivity. If any irritation occurs, it may be best to pause such activities temporarily.

How does it works ?

The XanthRemover is not a miracle cure, it just works! But how does it work? The XanthRemover works by chemically ablating the Xanthelasmas from the top. In other words, the XanthRemover “destroys” the fat deposits of the Xanthelasmas.

As you apply the XanthRemover on your Xanthelasmas you will feel a burning sensation. This is normal. This burning sensation will only last 5 minutes. After that, the area where you applied the XanthRemover will have whitened. Make sure you only apply the XanthRemover on the xanthelasmas and not on your healthy skin.

How often should I use ?

It is recommended to use the XanthRemover at regular intervals of 1 to 2 weeks until all the Xanthelasmas have disappeared. Even in those cases when some of our customers have used the XanthRemover at shorter intervals it has not caused any damage. However, in order to minimise risks, it is advisable to wait at least one week after the scab produced by the XanthRemover has peeled off by itself.

What can go wrong ?

As long as the XanthRemover is applied on the Xanthelasmas only and at the right intervals there is nothing that can go wrong because it is custom formulated to your Xanthelasmas and skin type. By all means the Xanthremover must not be in contact with the eyes. This is why we have developed the XanthRemover in a gel, to avoid drips. Additionally, in order to minimize the risks to your skin and your eyes, we offer the option to purchase the XanthRemover neutralizer for an added peace of mind.

Some people have asked us “…why is the XanthRemover more expensive than other peels I can buy on Amazon or Ebay? They are cheap and your XathRemover is far more expensive!”

The main risk when using peelings for treating Xanthelasmas is the possibility of the peel to get in direct contact with the eyes. Therefore the XanthRemover have been formulated to prevent dangerous drip formations that could inadvertently cause unwanted contact of the XanthRemover with the eyes. This drastically minimizes the worst risk during the treatment of Xanthelasmas using a peel, the risk to your eyes.

The XanthRemover is not an off the shelf product. Each patient has a different type of Xanthelasma as well as different skin type, therefore, each XanthRemover is custom formulated to suit your own skin type and remove your own Xanthelasmas. In this way, we are able to minimize the risks to your skin. Therefore you can remove your Xanthelasmas without having any scars left at the end of the treatment. This is why we request pictures of your eyes so that we can choose the type of peel to use and tailor-make the XanthRemover gel according to your skin type and Xanthelasmas type.

After all, treating Xanthelasmas is all we specialize on.

You can order peels online on eBay, Amazon, Google Shopping and many other sources. their cost can start as low as 30 USD plus shipping, depending on where you are in the world.

But what concentrations are the best suited for you? Do you know what the best treatment is for your case?

At XanthelasmaRemoval.com we only specialize in treating xanthelasmas, therefore, we can easily assess the best treatment for your case by looking at your pictures. If you use the wrong peels or concentrations for your skin type you could increase the risks to your skin.

What is the quality control of the suppliers on eBay Amazon and so forth? You hope is good but we have no control over other people’s quality control, after all, they are cheap so… who knows…. On the other hand, We know that OUR quality control is guaranteed to be premium!

What happens if the solution you purchase by yourself is too strong for your skin type or you purchase the wrong peel? You may already have the answer. We think you may be putting yourself under unnecessary risks to save a little money!

What happens if I need to stop the effect of an acid that is too strong on my eyelids? You have to rush to Accidents and Emergency or ER (in the US) and hope you get there fast enough! On the other hand, if you use us we provide the best peel based on your skin type and Xanthelasma.

What happens if the solution I bought from eBay drips into my eye? Unfortunately, this can happen when using highly fluid solutions ( and unfortunately this is how they come from cheap places). We hope this never happens to you, but if an acid drip inadvertently came in contact with your eye, the damage could be irreversibly devastating you would be very likely to lose vision from that eye.

So do you really think that saving 150 to 200 USD is worth all these risks to your face, your skin, and your eyes?

At Areton we believe that a patient is better off paying a premium to have their Xanthelasmas excised using a common scalpel or lasers rather than incurring the high risks of a DIY Xanthelasma treatment.

However if this is what you still intend to do to save a little money, we provide enough information for you to buy the ingredients from other sources and treat your Xanthelasmas yourself. However, we do not recommend it!
