Do you know what solid shampoos are?

These shampoos, commonly referred to as shampoo bars, come in a hard, solid shape, as the name suggests. They’re a great replacement for traditional shampoos that come in plastic bottles, which create waste in your bathroom.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Five of these shampoos are purchased in the UK every second. That works out to 476,000 plastic bottles daily! Just in  the UK, 174 million bottles of shampoo are sold annually. The statistics are startling, and they become much more so when you consider how many shampoo bottles wind up in our oceans. Additionally, it will take them 500 years to degrade once they are there.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”9393″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Zero Waste

You don’t yet practise any zero-waste behaviours, do you? So why not start out slowly with a solid shampoo? You’ve probably collected a sizable number of plastic bottles in your bathroom, like the majority of individuals. Though, surely enough is enough? A good starting point for living a zero-waste lifestyle is a shampoo. You may reduce your use of plastic bottles and stay away from damaging hair products thanks to it. Why? Considering that it’s comprised of natural elements! No matter what type of hair they are intended for, our solid shampoos only contain natural and plant-derived components. Additionally, they are vegan, and obviously, no animals were used in their testing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Plus, if we look beyond the shampoo itself and focus on the packaging, again, it’s zero waste. Our shampoo boxes are made from recyclable cardboard. The cherry on the cake? Each shampoo lasts twice as long as a regular one, so you won’t have to buy shampoo as often as before! It’s zero waste, yes, but so much more!

We offer shampoos made with essential oils and others that are free of essential oils. All of them are made with naturally derived ingredients, to help protect the environment.

You may not know it, but many regular shampoos contain petrochemical ingredients that pollute our planet. Among them, you’ll find sulphates, which are used in many of the shampoos available today. Once you’ve rinsed your hair, these ingredients go down the drain, but afterwards they’re not always completely eliminated by wastewater treatment plants. The result? They end up in our rivers, then in our oceans…

Plus, in order to make their liquid shampoos, regular brands use anything from 60 to 90% water in their formulas! This isn’t the case with solid shampoos. In fact, it isn’t the case with solid cosmetics in general, because no – or very little – water is used to make them!

Much less water is used to produce solid shampoos, so thousands of litres of water are saved!

Our solid shampoos are what we call “eco-affordable”. It’s a word we like to use to say that a product is eco-friendly and saves you money. That’s right: not only are our solid shampoos gentle on the environment; they’re also gentle on your wallet! How? Because they’re twice as efficient as a standard shampoo! And because they’re twice as efficient, they last twice as long. And because they last twice as long, you’ll need to buy one twice less often. So you’ll spend half as much money!

It’s true that our solid shampoos are a little more expensive than regular shampoos (although having said that, there are plenty of regular shampoos out there that are more expensive too!). But in the long term, they do work out cheaper.
