Unexpected downtime and distress
Mandatory Patch Test
The patch test is required to assess your skin’s reaction to XanthRemover before full application.
Day 1
Apply a small amount (maximum 0.5 cm²) of gel below the chin and on the forearm.
Leave on for 10 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.
Day 2
Repeat the patch test on a different spot below the chin and forearm.
Leave on for 20 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.
These initial tests ensure you do not have an adverse reaction and allow you to observe the peeling effects.
Day 5
Apply a small amount of gel on one Age Spot.
Leave on for 30 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.
Day 6
Apply the gel on another Age Spot.
Leave on for 40 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.
Day 7
Apply the gel on another Age Spot.
Leave on for 50 minutes, then wipe off and rinse with water.
Observe the treated Age Spots over the next three days. If you experience any adverse effects, discontinue use.
Day 11
By this stage, you should understand how the gel works.
Apply it on a new untreated Age Spot for 1 hour maximum, then wipe off and rinse.
If treating only one or two Age Spots, allow at least one week between applications on the same area.
These patch tests help familiarize you with the gel’s effects. If you experience any unexpected reactions, stop using the product immediately.
Application Procedure
Prepare the Skin
Wash your hands.
Thoroughly cleanse and dry the treatment area.
Use a degreasing protocol if necessary.
Apply the Gel
Apply directly onto the Age Spots and surrounding area.
If treating facial Age Spots, you may apply it to the entire face if desired.
Control the Peeling Process
Keep the gel on for as long as needed to achieve the desired peeling effect.
The longer the gel remains on, the fewer applications will be required.
Once satisfied with the effect, wipe off with a clean cotton pad and rinse with warm water.
Post-Treatment Care
Peeling/scabbing should start within 1-2 days.
Do not pick or interfere with the peeling process—allow the skin to heal naturally.
Wait at least 2 weeks between applications.
If the skin remains red or itchy after two weeks, wait until it has fully healed before reapplying.
Do not apply makeup until the peeling process is complete.
Treatment Timeline & Results
Typically, Age Spots are removed within six sessions.
Some users achieve results in 3-4 sessions by leaving the gel on for over 1 hour per application.
Plan ahead: The peeling process lasts 7-10 days and may affect your appearance.
Avoid makeup, strenuous activities, and sun exposure during the healing phase.
Sun Protection & Aftercare
Apply total sun protection/sunscreen after peeling.
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 months after the last application.
Failure to follow sun protection guidelines may lead to hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
Final Considerations
Even when using cosmetic peels, scarring is a possibility. Follow the instructions carefully to minimize risks and achieve the best results.
