How to Apply XanthRemover for Acne Scar Attenuation
First of all you have to understand what priciple we are using to attenuate your acne scars with the XanthRemover. The principle used is skin exfoliation. The more you exfoliate your skin the less apparent the acne scars will become over time. All we therefore are doing is exfoliate your skin affected by Acne scars which will over time flatten and become less visible.
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Cleanse and dry the area where the gel will be applied. If required, follow a degreasing protocol.
Apply the gel on the acne scar and its surrounding area.
Timing is crucial: Keep the gel on for the time duration you have determined to be suitable based on your patch tests.
Wipe off the gel using a clean cotton pad and rinse with warm water.
Observe the peeling/scabbing effects that should start within 1-2 days.
Allow the skin to heal naturally. The longer you leave the gel on, the fewer treatments you may need.
Do not use makeup on the treated area until the peeling process is completely over.
Treatment Expectations
Most acne scars can besuccessfully attenuated within 6 sessions.
The longer the gel is left on, the fewer applications are required.
Some users achieve results in 3-4 sessions by keeping the gel on for over 1 hour per application.
Wait at least 2 weeks between applications. If the area is still red or itchy after 2 weeks, wait until it returns to normal before reapplying.
Important Aftercare Guidelines
Avoid makeup on treated areas until the peeling process is over.
Plan ahead as peeling may last 7-10 days, and the appearance may not be aesthetically pleasing during this period.
Do not engage in strenuous activities that could cause excessive sweating or friction on the treated area.
Use sunscreen diligently. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 months after last application to prevent hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
Mild scarring may occur, but proper aftercare reduces the risk.
