Immediate Post-Treatment Care

1. Cleanse Gently:
After removing XanthRemover, rinse the treated area with cool or lukewarm water. Avoid using soaps, scrubs, or any products containing alcohol or fragrances for at least 24 hours.

2. Keep the treated area clean until the scabs are formed. Do not pick the scabs. Let them fall off by themselves. Make sure no infections occur prior to the scab formation. Moisturizing creams and antibiotic ointments are best to be avoided. Do not apply makeup until the scabs have formed.

3. Sun Protection:
Protect the treated area from sun exposure. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, and consider wearing protective clothing or hats when outdoors.

Managing Common Reactions

1. Redness and Swelling:
Mild redness and swelling are normal reactions. These symptoms typically subside within a few days. Avoid applying ice directly; instead, use a cold compress if necessary.

2. Itching or Discomfort:
If you experience itching, refrain from scratching the area. Applying a gentle moisturizer can alleviate discomfort. If irritation persists, consult a healthcare professional.

3. Scabbing or Peeling:
Do not pick at scabs or peeling the dead skin, as this can increase the likelihood of developing scarring. Allow the skin to heal naturally

The pictures above show completely normal reactions to the XanthRemover’s full application.

People who use the Xanthremover without going through the full set of patch testing , can get very scared when they experience a very normal skin reaction to the XanthRemover. What we are seeing above are completely normal reactions to the XanthRemover full application. It is important to note that ALL the people pictured above have subsequently recovered completely and were pleased with the results.

Activities to Avoid

1. Avoid Heat Exposure:
Refrain from using saunas, steam rooms, or engaging in strenuous exercise that induces heavy sweating for at least 48 hours post-treatment.

2. No Makeup or Harsh Products:
Avoid applying makeup, exfoliants, or products containing retinoids or acids on the treated area until it has fully healed.

Monitoring Healing Progress

1. Observe Skin Changes:
Monitor the treated area for any signs of infection, such as increased redness, swelling, or pus. If any of these occur, seek medical advice promptly.

2. Follow-Up Treatments:
If additional treatments are necessary, ensure the skin has completely healed before reapplying XanthRemover. This typically means waiting at least two weeks between applications.

When to Seek Medical Attention

If you experience severe pain, extensive swelling, blistering, or signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
